Project Summary :
In collaboration with the Australian Consulate General, our Rural Development Women Welfare Society (RDWWS) successfully implemented the Safe Drinking Water, Environmental Sanitation, and Preventive Care Programme across 10 villages in Yerraguntla Mandal.
This transformative initiative addressed critical needs through a series of strategic interventions:
New Borewells : RDWWS installed new bore-wells equipped with sanitary setups, ensuring access to clean and safe drinking water for underprivileged rural communities.
Repairing and Rehabilitating Bore-wells: Recognizing the importance of maintaining existing infrastructure, RDWWS repaired old, damaged, and non-functioning bore-wells, restoring access to water for communities in need.
Waste Disposal Campaigns: Comprehensive campaigns on liquid and solid waste disposal promoted environmental sustainability and public health, fostering cleaner and healthier living environments.
Health and Medical Camps: RDWWS organized regular health and medical camps, providing essential services and screenings to address immediate health concerns.
Counselling Camps: Counselling camps educated and empowered communities on crucial issues such as health, sanitation, and water, fostering long-term behaviour change and resilience.
Through these concerted efforts, RDWWS enhanced the quality of life for residents of Yerraguntla Mandal, promoting health, dignity, and sustainability.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Australian Consulate General for their generous support, which made the successful completion of this project possible.
