Project Summary :

The Primary Health, Education, and Development Activities for Bonded Child Labourers project, generously supported by the Startfund Fred Foundation, addresses the urgent needs of 25 freed-up child labourers who have been deprived of basic education and healthcare.

Our organization is committed to breaking the cycle of exploitation and offering these children a chance at a brighter future. Through this project, we provide comprehensive support and rehabilitation over a period of one year, focusing on three main areas: education, skill development, and health care.

Basic Education Programme: We prioritize education by offering basic literacy and numeracy classes to ensure that each child gains fundamental knowledge and skills essential for their future success.

Nutrition Support: Recognizing the importance of proper nutrition for overall well-being, we provide one-time nutrition food to ensure that the children are healthy and nourished during the rehabilitation process.

Skill Development Training: We offer training in garment making, needlework, tailoring, and fashion designing, empowering the children with valuable vocational skills that can lead to sustainable livelihoods.

Throughout the rehabilitation process, we also focus on health care, motivation, and awareness to address the holistic needs of the children. Once they have completed the program and acquired basic education and skills, we facilitate their transition to local mainstream government schools.

We are pleased to report that many of the children have successfully integrated into mainstream education, thanks to the support of government welfare hostels and scholarships. Additionally, we work closely with parents to ensure continued support and encouragement for their children’s education.

This project represents a collaborative effort to uplift vulnerable children and break the cycle of poverty and exploitation. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Startfund Fred Foundation for their unwavering support and commitment to improving the lives of these children.
