Donor : Mr. Thomas Cherian, India
Project Summary :
In response to the pressing issue of malnutrition among rural poor children in Yerraguntla, Rural Development Women Welfare Society (RDWWS) initiated the Providing Nutrition Food project with generous support from Mr. Thomas Cherian.
This vital project aims to address the nutritional needs of underprivileged children in the community, ensuring they receive the essential nutrients necessary for their physical and cognitive development. Through regular provision of nutritious meals, RDWWS seeks to combat malnutrition, improve overall health outcomes, and enhance the well-being of these vulnerable children.
The nutrition food provided includes a balanced diet comprising of grains, pulses, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products, tailored to meet the dietary requirements of growing children. Special attention is given to the quality and variety of food items to ensure maximum nutritional benefits. In addition to addressing immediate nutritional needs, the project also emphasizes education and awareness about healthy eating habits and hygiene practices among children and their families. RDWWS conducts interactive sessions and workshops on nutrition, cooking demonstrations, and community engagement activities to promote sustainable behaviour change and long-term impact. Through the combined efforts of RDWWS and the generous support of Mr. Thomas Cherian, this project is making a tangible difference in the lives of rural poor children, providing them with the foundation for a healthier and brighter future.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Thomas Cherian for his compassion and commitment to improving the well-being of disadvantaged children in our community.
