Donor Agency: 1% for Development, C.P.64154 (FAO), 00153, Rome, ITALY
Project Summary:
In Mydukur village, Rural Development Women Welfare Society (RDWWS) is spearheading a transformative initiative in collaboration with 1% for Development: Plumbing Skill Development Training for Poor Orphan Teenage Boys.
This program aims to equip 20 orphan teenagers, aged 15 to 18 years, with valuable plumbing skills, offering them a pathway to self-employment and self-development. Through comprehensive skill training sessions, these teenagers are gaining practical knowledge and hands-on experience in plumbing, empowering them to pursue sustainable livelihood opportunities in the future.
In addition to skill training, RDWWS recognizes the importance of holistic development. Therefore, educational classes are conducted in the evenings, ensuring that participants have access to essential academic support and guidance. This comprehensive approach not only enhances their vocational skills but also strengthens their educational foundation, opening doors to broader opportunities for personal and professional growth.
As a result of this program, these orphan teenagers have experienced remarkable improvements in their social, educational, and economic circumstances. They have gained confidence, self-sufficiency, and a sense of purpose, laying the groundwork for a brighter future filled with possibilities.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to 1% for Development for their generous support and partnership, which has made this impactful program possible, empowering vulnerable youth to build better lives for themselves and their communities.
